Grants
Our revenue comes primarily from federally funded, multi-year research projects
under DARPA, IARPA, and other agencies on both the military and civilian side.
We team with universities, research institutes, and private sector companies from
around the world to solve hard problems ranging from counter-human trafficking to
information security.
We're not generalists, but we're flexible; we
focus on maintaining an elite set of engineering skills and cross-disciplinary expertise
that we can apply to any challenge. Our passion is in the pursuit of clever solutions, in finding
the edge of what's possible and then pushing past it.

Blog
We publish our experiments and research on our Gray Area blog. Far from a boring corporate blog, we publish original research and try to put our personalities into everything we post. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and then you'll retweet us (right??). Our posts cover a wide range of topics, including web dev pedantics, hacking, data science, the dark web, and even poetry and short fiction.
Conference Talks
We love going to the great infosec conferences to speak, listen to great talks, and meet people. Follow us on Twitter for updates on talks we will be giving, and follow us on Instagram for photos of the events!
